Ruel Vincent van Dijk, known professionally as Ruel, is an Australian singer-songwriter born on July 29, 2002. Ruel gained recognition in 2017 when he appeared as a guest vocalist on a song by DJ M-Phazes. Later that year, he released his debut single “Golden Years” at the age of 14, which went on to achieve gold certification in Australia.

Ruel’s soulful and mature voice has been compared to that of Sam Smith and his music often features a blend of pop, R&B, and soul elements. His debut EP, “Ready,” was released in 2018 and features the hit single “Younger,” which has been streamed over 100 million times on Spotify.
